Or at least it is over at Dead Dick's Tavern And Temporary Lodging. So as it turns out, this coincided with me ainting my wife's Frost Giantess from Reaper Bones.
That's a sweet-looking giantess! I really like the light color palette...and the blue really ties it all together. Nice work! I have a feeling it won't be the only giant painted this month, but we'll have to see...
I bought a batch of Quar from Zombiesmith . They are basically alien anteaters, with a WWI level of technology. My plan is to use them as the core of a Five Parsecs From Home campaign. On a whim, I got the medieval/bronze age Ehn'k'du as well. I was excited when I received him that he had a separate shield, which gave me a lot more customization options. My first thought was to use him in my Rangers Of The Shadow Deep warband, but as a Recruit, he would not have a shield at all. So here is Ehn'k'du the Recruit, sans shield (for now.) Ehn'k'du can be purchased here.
Ok, so the Las Vegas Wargamers group on FaceBook had a modelling challenge for June: create something for wargaming out of an old computer mouse. Originally the brief was "tank" but it was pointed out that a lot of different things could be done with a mouse for wargaming. And so it began. In the end only three of us finished up by the June 30 deadline, so I thought I'd share what was presented. To start, Daniel Liswood created a Victorian Science Fiction sky chariot. I thought this was wonderfully creative. Sadly, he only gave us one picture: Next up, Steve Massey gave us a wonderful Waaa-Buggy to add to his ever growing Space Ork horde from the Warhamster 40,000 universe (I say "universe" instead of "game" because I'm not sure what he plays with these things!) And finally, my submission: the M-69F Mouse scout tank. I took quite a few pictures showing it in a variety of different environments. ...

ReplyDeleteThat is a cracking bit of painting, I bet your wife is over the moon with it!
ReplyDeleteHow big is she? it would have been nice to have had a 28mm figure for scale.
Cheers Roger.
Very cool model, and great paint job. I'm curious, too, as the the height and heft compared to a 28mm model.
